Pioneer Pastimes and Games Activity Kit

Kids were playing imaginative games long before anyone ever heard of Mattel, Hasbro or video games. Our Pioneer Pastimes Activity Kit revisits the days of yore when imaginations, a few sticks, marbles and other basic items fueled kids' free time entertainment. What an incredible way to learn about the pioneer past by participating in pioneer activities! This is a wonderful way to create some historical perspective for kids.

Ages 8 and up.

Unit Goals and Concepts: 

• Compare modern life to pioneer life .
• Learn about the pioneer past by participating in pioneer activities.
• Play several pioneer games using various coordination skills.
• Show the group that they can have fun without modern technological entertainment

Materials Included:  

• A pick up sticks game, a jacks set, a marbles game, and a tops set - all great "pioneer pastime" games! 
• 25 large marbles, 75 small marbles, and 25 cloth bags for participants to take them home in.
• Our exclusive instructor's activity guide that makes planning the project easy and delivers loads of fun ideas for pioneer activities, games and relevant projects.

For groups larger than 25, simply add extra marbles and cloth bags on to your order (see below).
