At Nature Watch, we rang in the new year by stocking up with new classroom products<\/a> for our catalog to engage your students. Over the last few weeks, we\u2019ve introduced a number of new crafts and activities to help you avoid the mid-year slump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In September everything in your classroom is new and fresh to those wide-eyed youths. However, around this time the \u201cbeen there, done that\u201d of young learners may have you wanting for new materials to enhance your winter\/spring curricula. Treat yourself and your students to enough new resources that take you through the end of the school year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Protect the bees before these integral creatures become further at risk. We know the important role that honey bees play in our eco-system and why it\u2019s necessary to educate students from a young age in the preservation of these insects. Nature Watch has recently introduced the Mason Bee House<\/a> activity kit, to help children better understand this particular species of bee. Mason Bees like to nest in hollow stems or holes made by insects in dead wood. Give each child the opportunity to make and take home their own Mason Bee House to observe these critical pollinators in their own habitat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
