Feather Display (Discontinued)

This 16” X 12” exhibit is a great introduction to the diversity of feathers. Specimens include the basic feather forms (Primary, Secondary, Semiplume and Down) along with unusual feather forms – a feather with a secondary shaft (typical of Galliform birds) – a double-plumed feather (found among the Ratites) - and structural pigmentation (iridescent Peacock feather). Pigmented feathers and a complete, freeze-dried wing round out this diverse collection. Fully labeled along with illustrations of feather anatomy and arrangement.
