The Allosaurus was one of the largest and most ferocious predators of the late Jurassic period (140-155 million years ago). Predating the T-Rex by about 60 million years, its 33" jaw was lined with about 40-50 serrated 2-4" teeth, making the Allosaurus the consummate carnosaur. We offer a perfect reproduction made from molds of the actual Allosaurus fragilis discovered at the Morrison Formation in Colorado. Every detail is preserved including sinus cavities, strong ridges above the eye sockets and vicious dental structure. Kids are absolutely amazed when they have the chance to come in contact with this amazing skull. A terrific teaching tool, it's made of strong resin to handle years of extensive handling.
We offer two different options for those interested in the Allosaurus skull. The item you are viewing (#804w) includes just the skull alone and does not include the pictured mounting stand. The skull is also available with the pictured stand as item #806x. Please call us for more information about this amazing skull.
